Gillingham make the long journey north this weekend looking to get back to winning ways.
Andy Hessenthaler’s side have to get three points should they wish to stay in contention with the leading pack having lost 2-0 at Swindon on Tuesday night.
The Gills boss has hinted there could well be changes to the side that battled bravely before conceding two late goals at the County Ground.
With Joe Martin back available after serving a one game suspension, Hessenthaler will surely bring the left back straight back into the side. That would see Danny Jackman move position, or drop to the bench.
The game comes too soon for midfielder Jack Payne who has had an injection to help him along with the knee injury that has plagued him for most of this season.
He joins Dennis Oli (hamstring), Adam Birchall (knee), Barry Fuller (knee) and Danny Spiller (ankle) all on the sidelines.
Also out of the frame is midfielder Lewis Montrose who serves the second game of his three game suspension after being sent off against Oxford United last weekend.
Striker Danny Kedwell is pushing for a place in the starting eleven after coming off the bench on Tuesday night, but Hessenthaler will have to decide who drops out of the side to make way.
Another player looking to force his way back into the side is skipper Andy Frampton who has had to watch from the bench for the last two games. Frampton could well come back into the side at the expense of either Garry Richards or Matt Lawrence with Hessenthaler hinting there are some tired legs in the squad.
Therefore, Gillingham could line up something like this:
Flitney, Fish, Richards, Frampton, Martin, Whelpdale, Lee, Jackman, Rooney, Kedwell, Kuffour.
Subs: Gazzaniga, Lawrence, Weston, Nouble, S Payne.
